If your student is riding bus #8, it is running about 15 minutes behind schedule.

Panthers-- We have had a great first day of school! It's been so good to see our new and returning students. I know we are going to have a great year! Just a reminder that our school hours have changed. School starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:35pm. Doors still open at 8:10am. For this week, we will start dismissal early to ensure all students get home how they are supposed to. Starting next week, we will start dismissal at 3:35pm. Tomorrow, we will start our normal morning routine. If students are eating breakfast, they will go to the cafeteria when they get in the building. If students are not eating breakfast, they will go to the gym. Students have their breakfast card zip tied to their backpacks. Please leave them on their backpacks so we can use them for breakfast. Also, please stay on the playground with your sweet treat. If you are unable to attend Sneak Peek tonight, please send your student with their school supplies to school tomorrow. Just a reminder that tomorrow, May 22nd, is our last day of school for the 23/24 school year. If your student is a car rider, please plan give your car tags to Mrs. Lewis in the car line tomorrow at pickup. We plan to reuse as many car tags as possible next year. Each student should have two car tags to return. If you have lost your car tags, don't worry! Just let Mrs. Lewis know that information in the car line tomorrow. Happy summer!

6th Grade Families- Tonight is our TN 6th grade promotion ceremony at 5:30. Front doors will open at 5:15. Students will go directly to their classrooms to get lined up. BGC has also planned an event on the south side of the building for 5:30, there is a food truck for the BGC event only.

Due to the rain, we are delaying the elementary track meet 30 minutes. We will start at 6:30pm. We will update if anything changes via text.

The 5th/6th track meet is still scheduled for 6:00pm tonight. We will text closer to the time of the event if it's cancelled due to rain, otherwise the event scheduled as planned. Participants need to be there at 5:45om. PLEASE PARK AT SHMS. It is also recommended to bring a towel to wipe down the bleachers or bring a stadium seat. Thank you!

Our 5th/6th track meet was rescheduled from last Monday to tomorrow, 5/13/24. Students participating need to wear their t-shirt to school tomorrow & arrive at SHHS at 5:45pm. If you are attending the track meet, please park in the middle school parking lot since there is an orchestra performance at the high school tomorrow night as well. There will be food trucks this year, which will open at 5pm. Let's have some fun!

TN Families— This morning we had to issue a “soft lockdown” due to a student having a medical emergency. A “soft lockdown” is when all exterior doors are secured, yet instruction & movement still occurs within the building. In this case, however, we had to keep some students in their classrooms so AMR could assist the student. The student is doing well due the quick response from our TN staff. Due to incoming severe weather, the 5th/6th Track Meet that was scheduled for tonight has been POSTPONED to next Monday, May 13th at 6pm at SHHS. Muffins with My Lady Forms are due tomorrow (Monday, 4/29/24). Have your student turn them into their teacher & the teachers will turn them into the office. RSVPs help us to know how many muffins to buy. Thank you!

Families with those students in intramurals--We are cancelling intramurals today due to incoming storm. Intramurals will resume as planned next week. Students will go home like normal (ie bus if they are a bus rider or parent pick-up if they are a car rider). Please call the office if you have questions/clarifications.
