A special thank you to the Shawnee Heights Fire District who helped us celebrate Fire Safety week. These dedicated men and women are such a critical part of our community. We were honored to host them yesterday for their annual fire safety presentation. There was a good balance between belly laughs and serious conversations on what to do (and not to do) in the case of a fire. 🚒🔥 We also stumbled across a few sweet scholars of our own who have been learning all about not only firefighters, but many other community helpers this week. 🧑🏼‍🚒👮🏾👷🏻👩🏾‍⚕️ Have a great weekend!

We kicked off Fire Safety week with a grand entrance from the Shawnee Heights Fire District. 🚒🔥 Congratulations to Kassidy who was the grand-prize winner of the fire-safety poster contest. She had quite the ride into school yesterday morning! We also want to congratulate Arianna and Allison who were classroom winners for the poster contest. 🖤💛

All K-6 USD 450 students are invited to participate in the SHHS Boys Soccer Elementary Night event! Advanced registration is not required, but helpful: https://forms.gle/kBHzHyBVtPyYAueb8 Cheer on the T-Birds as they face DeSoto on Tuesday, September 17th. The JV game starts at 4:30, and the Varsity game starts at 6:00. Students will receive: · Free game entry with a paid adult · Free goodie bag and team poster · Walk on the field with Varsity players during game introductions · Be there by 5:45 and meet at the North end of the field by the goodie bag table to line up with the players. We will have food trucks and a great crowd! Come back to Bettis Sports Center on Wednesday, September 18th, to train with the T-Birds at our first Mini Kicker Clinic! The clinic will be held from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm and is absolutely free to district students!
